Derbyshire 4×4 Response is a volunteer group providing all terrain logistical and transport support across Derbyshire and the Peak District as well as surrounding areas. Helping our community in times of need. Especially in adverse weather conditions.

Safety First

We believe safety comes first. Yes we respond in adverse conditions but we plan and train for it. All volunteers are DBS checked

Highly Skilled

All our volunteers must pass an induction before being tasked. The training is a mix of in house and external certification.

Experienced

Many of our responders have been 4×4 response volunteers for many years. That experience can be drawn on to ensure a tasking is completed safely and efficiently.

As volunteers using our own vehicles we have a special bond with the vehicles we use and how we can use them to help the community.

I have been a responder for a few years now and I enjoy going out in adverse weather. I have towed vehicles stuck in snow and mud. I have transported nurses to work and heath care workers to clients. It is great to be putting something back in the community .
